Film critic based on real life!

Film review of Super 30

-By Sarah Khan

Movies are a mirror to society. So I make sure to watch films that inspire me to face real life situations. One such movie that I watched recently is Super 30 based on real story, directed by Vikas Bahl. The leading actor in the film is Hrithik Roshan. The main theme of this film is that hard work always pays back no matter what your family background is.

The protagonist of the film id Anand Kumar, a mathematician from Patna, India who had been selected in Harvard University. Since, he didn't have enough money to study abroad, he needed to compromise his dream and rather aimed to train other such IIT aspirants from low economic background who couldn't afford tuition fees. He opened a coaching institute  named Super 30 for students from low socio economic backgrounds free of cost and conveyed the message that one's success should not be measured by the wealth. Everyone should get an equal and fair opportunity to prove themselves. In the end, all his 30 students from coaching got selected in IIT exam with great ranks.

I was impressed by the performance of Hrithik Roshan and his students as in the movie. Their performance seemed to touch our hearts as it was very natural act. The music and songs were inspiring enough to feel goosebumps. However, I did not like the scene where those students were mocking their own english speaking skills. That scene also played a weird song in the background which didn't please me. Moreover, the movie went too fast for the young audience to comprehend.

Overall, the movie was splendid and I'd give it a 4.5 star rating out of 5. The film's story of challenges ultimately leading towards success motivates us to not stop acting on our dreams for attaining success despite our economic conditions.
