Freedom in our minds, Faith in our words and Pride in our souls...

 Long Live India!

Leaving us spellbound with alluring cultures
My place beholds the intrinsic diversity
With more than 21 languages and varied religions
We're all bound together with eternity

With a monument among the 7 wonders of the world
My place is where the legends were born
They will dwell in our hearts forever
We owe them our liberty, they had sworn

Cheers to the 73 years of freedom
Long live India, Long live wisdom!

My place is breathing today
Where thousands had laid down their lives
As the furling national tricolor emerges
The sacrifices of our fighters, it revives

My homeland is where my heart resides
The place where once there had been deathblows
After almost 200 years of struggle of warriors
They redeemed their pledge and vows

Cheers to the 73 years of freedom
Long live India, Long live wisdom!

Our fighters devoted their lives for the nation
Embarking on the ever needed independence
Turning from the clutches of slavery
My homeland got filled with sovereignty and pleasance

Many emerged like the rulers of India
Removing the invaders invading my motherland
And left behind the princely forts and memories
That we all cherish today in this legendary sand

Cheers to the 73 years of freedom
Long live India, Long live wisdom!

Jai Hind !!

AFTERTHOUGHT- I don't have any more words to express my love for the homeland. I just wish to convey the audience to not just respect the nation for this one day, be patriotic every day. Giving lectures on it and not following it in real, won't be of any worth. Don't be patriotic for "one day", Be patriotic from "day one".  You don't need to think much about what being patriotic means, you just have to clean the environment around you, help the needy, and treat everyone with equality. You just have to honor the uniqueness of each individual. India is known for its uniqueness. We're applauded that in our country we respect every religion. Embrace this uniqueness. We're a secular nation. We need to set an example of unity and love. This is what patriotism actually is.
So, now... Babbye
