PATRIARCHY HAS ALSO AFFECTED THE BOYS

Struggling in the race with their career life
They bear the comparison with others who strife
The competition is hard with family expectations
Being beaten up there for not meeting regulations
Growing up they forgot their childhood and toys
Patriarchy has also affected the boys
Their voices also get buried within
It's scary to lose and hard to win
Shedding tears has a healing power
Then why do they hesitate and cower?
Their emotions have been stifled within the noise
Patriarchy has also affected the boys
Gender roles affects the men too
Stereotypes ruin them out of the blue
They love us more than they love themselves
Yet their love is measured not fitting in shelves
Standing among the casteist employees
Patriarchy has also affected the boys
According to law, he's innocent until proven guilty
Then why does society declare him so filthy?
They fight for torture against women
But why do some fear Feminism brimming?
For the sake of society, sacrificing their joys
Patriarchy has also affected the boys
A criminal is criminal irrespective of gender
Generalising is propoganda as a defender
Love is inbuilt, hate is learned
Casteism has been inflicting the concerned
For all the Anti- Feminist arguments it destroys
Patriarchy has also affected the boys
DESCRIPTION- This poetry is a slap to those who have been mocking Feminists for not taking a stand for men. Let them know this is a feminist step. Standing against every gender discrimination is a part of Feminism. Those who say our law is prejudiced against men, let me tell you our law isn't biased firstly. Law says "innocent until proven guilty" which applies to every person, irrespective of gender, caste, religion etc. It's the mentality that's biased. The police and authority, social media activists etc make biased assumptions, the media also presumes and forms conclusions without a proof, not law. So in case of fake allegations, or woman victimising a man, people form their own assumptions that man is wrong on the basis of their mentality. If the law was biased towards men, then all the female victims would get the justice. But noh. Hardly few rape victims get. Hathras victim has not yet got the justice infact ppl supported it. Those like the nirbhaya get justice after so many years where the rapist has already lived his life. False allegations, slap, beating etc can't be compared with rape. Physical and sexual torture are both different. Former is repairable, latter is not. Also, even if false allegations occur, many rapes get unreported, women on a global scale are raped more often than men and have been prejudiced, discriminated, victim blamed, more often than false allegations. That's the reason why Feminism focus more on women.. But it doesn't ignore completely or promote any hate against men. Even if a girl is using Feminism word to hate a man, she's not following Feminism. Don't take her words seriously.
We need Feminism.
