Whispers of Strength
Somewhere up shit's creek in a barbed wire canoe,
looking up at the sky with appealing eyes
Her breaths got faster
And every breath
Held an immortal learning of the mortal life
As she bows to her unanswered prayers,
Like a fish out of water,
Her soul shuddered
Of all the scars holding her intact
With the fear of death
A holy path of all living creatures
In the memories of the bygone past,
The moments of her pride
Hit her hard
With regrets of unfulfilled promises
Those unsaid words were shouting
Into her soul
'Time flies like a wink'
She confessed.
Beating the cancer with an ample of hopes
Her struggle was on the run
Whispering the meaning of life
Of whose presence made her braver
No pain can take its claim on her divine spirit
You don't sign to luck and know
Not she.
That cigar and drug and glass of wine
To pick up, consume and promote
No more
A healthy routine prevents obesity
But a fast food freak was she
The pain been concealed before
Was now awaring others about early diagnosis
With the falling hairs in chemotherapy
The shooting stars mumbled
'Falling can be pretty'
Realised she.
Never did her acts haunt her but once
Her hand rested on mine
That feeling of togetherness
Is never again.
