Indore broke record by donating 5030 units of blood in a single day

On 30th May, 2023, Indore has set a remarkable milestone in the pursuit of magnanimity and social welfare by beating records of about 5030 units of blood donation within just one day. The camps were organised at 30 places and various social, religious, educational, commercial and industrial organisations participated in the donation drive. People from all categories and communities showed their enthusiasm in participating for this noble cause.

The blood donation camp began from Khajrana temple. At the Red Cross Chameli Devi blood bank, Divisional Commandant of Home Guard BP Verma, District Commandant Sumat Jain and Company Commandant Virendrasinh Jadaun were involved in the donation of blood. In the camp organised at Ranjit Hanuman Temple, Collector Abhay Bedekar also donated blood. The collector ILayaraja T credited and applauded the residents of Indore for their awareness reflecting the generosity of city's residents. 

Through this, about one month blood has been arranged for the patients approaching the government hospitals in Indore. The administration is planning that now a big blood donation camp will be organized every month. The donation process was efficiently managed by the healthcare professionals and volunteering team ensuring the safety and well being of donors. Various universities and colleges in Indore are also organising blood donation drives for contributing to this cause.

The city of Indore sets an exemplary example for other cities to learn from promoting the emotions of compassion and being an inspiration to such initiatives.
